This is one of the best Revelation releases in recent memory. I hear a classic rhythmical Fugazi influence fused with a newer style of indie rock, and it works. It works well, in fact, and though the best track out of the six songs is the first track, “Jhazz Never Spelled So Good,” it is hard not to listen to the rest of the CD. The Joe Lally-ish basslines stand out particularly on this album, and combined with the subtle jazz influence, this band could be breaking new ground for indie rock, as well as for the Revelation Records roster.
