The title kinda makes me laugh, as does the photo of the guy crouching in the corner of a doorway on the inside of the front cover, but the music is pretty good. For the most part, bands that have appeared on previous “chapters” of The Emo Diaries have gone on to do well for themselves. I attribute this to their sanctimonious band names, as well as the fact that they’re pretty decent musicians. I was disappointed in the song by This Beautiful Mess, as I kind of enjoyed their last full-length, but I did enjoy The Killing Suspense, Dorian, and, most of all, Drive Til Morning. It’s nice to hear someone with an acoustic emo folk-rockish sound.
