FOOD perfectly sums up one of the biggest problems with heavy rock. Each time the band gets going into some semblance of energy and entertainment, it is killed by a two-minute long blast of the same chords and same riffs, over and over again. This whole five-song, 40-minute long LP just ends up sounding like a tremendously under-produced B-side reel. Nothing feels right. Every single thing sounds alike. It’s as if the same song was recorded in several different takes and lumped together to make pretentiously long album cuts. This album is better left on the shelf.
