COMEBACK KID – Broadcasting…

reviewed by Seth Gotro | Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

comeback_kid_broadcastingLike the last time I reviewed Comeback Kid, I just didn’t like it. I don’t feel like I can support it. It’s musically intelligent, and well produced. It’s upbeat and has all the right riffs in all the right places. It just feels too mainstream for me for some reason…that’s not to say that I think that all hardcore bands should be underground and living on rice and beans to be good enough for me. They’re just not my thing. That said, the last time that I reviewed a Comeback Kid disc, I hated it, then saw one of their videos on Much Music, and liked it — a lot. So I dunno.I suppose that if I were a Comeback Kid fan, I would like this disc. So let’s just take a typical Canadian middle-of-the-road stance on this Canadian hardcore band and call it even.
