THE MANGES – Bad Juju

reviewed by Shahab Zargari | Wednesday, March 16th, 2011

Italy’s The Manges have been playing as a band since 1993. That’s pretty old school to you kids, right? Bad Juju is their third full length; they toured the US last year with the Riverdales and the Huntingtons, so you know these guys have the musical chops to back their long-running career. This record was, in fact, not recorded in Italia, but rather in Atlanta, Georgia, produced by Joe Queer. Not only that, but the album comes complete with a song penned by the lead singer of Screeching Weasel and another written by Dan Schafer of Methadones fame. If that kind of a production team has you doing cartwheels of joy, and if you enjoyed the band’s 2007 full length Go Down, head over to Monster Zero and pick this puppy up. You won’t regret it.
